This week, The SAMI Foundation was proud to support the Student2Student program by Baby2Baby, helping to fill hundreds of backpacks for children living in poverty in Los Angeles. This powerful initiative provides school supplies to underserved students—many of whom would otherwise begin the school year without the basics most of us take for granted.

Baby2Baby is a nationally recognized nonprofit that has distributed over 375 million items to children living in poverty across all 50 states. Through their Student2Student program, they equip children with brand-new backpacks filled not only with essential school supplies like notebooks, pencils, and folders but also with personal care items and a few extras to bring joy and confidence to the classroom. These backpacks don’t just carry materials—they carry dignity, opportunity, and hope.
The SAMI Foundation was honored to play a role in this effort. Inspired by the life and spirit of Samantha Liber, the foundation works to support arts education and kindness-based initiatives. Getting involved with Baby2Baby’s mission aligned perfectly with our values. We believe that every child deserves the chance to show up prepared—and proud—for the first day of school.
Together, we can help level the playing field, one backpack at a time.
