Students from the University of Michigan Sports Business Conference, dedicated to professional development and community engagement, integrated a philanthropic activity into their summer event in New York. They aimed to benefit local youth and foster camaraderie among attendees by partnering with SAMI. The event took place this year at SPIN Flatiron.

SAMI supported this initiative by donating art supplies, including color pencils and markers and sketchbooks, along with specially designed pouches for organizing these materials. The students assembled the supplies to be delivered to middle school children in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The initiative sought to inspire creativity and self-expression in young students, encouraging an appreciation for the arts and providing a positive outlet for their emotions. It also offered conference participants a chance to reflect on the impact of their contributions and the importance of supporting future generations.

As the event approached, students anticipated both the professional networking opportunities and the meaningful experience of giving back. This philanthropic activity was central to their mission, demonstrating how partnerships like the one with SAMI can lead to impactful community service, enriching the lives of both givers and receivers.
