The Sami Foundation was happy to support This Is About Humanity’s holiday event this week, and the whole thing came together in the best way. Sophie Friedberg showed up at the SAMI offices in Santa Monica, loaded up her car, and personally shuttled more than one hundred Sami Art Kits to the event at Los Angeles Center Studios. Thank you Sophie for making it happen and all the amazing work you do setting an example for youths to lean in and help others.

The kits were handed out to kids and families attending the gathering. Each one includes drawing and paint supplies that invite kids to create, relax and have a moment that belongs entirely to them. That has always been the core of what the Sami Foundation tries to do. We connect with kids by giving them the tools to make things and express themselves in a simple and joyful way.

This Is About Humanity continues to support families at the border and bring communities together. Their holiday event had that same warm energy they are known for. Our part was small but meaningful. We were glad to add some color to a day built around care and generosity.
